Wedding heels
The perfect wedding heels are ones where you as the bride feel very comfortable walking around in them all day. Some of you may feel comfortable in high heel bridal shoes with 4 inch heels while others may feel better in flat wedding shoes. Whatever you choose, make sure you think through the following before purchasing your bridal shoes:
1) Will you be purchasing more than 1 pair? If you are planning on buying a back-up pair of wedding flip flops or wedge heels to change into, then you don’t have to worry about comfort and can really just look for anything you want.

2) How long will you be standing in the shoes? Many brides forget that the entire day does not just consist of the ceremony and the reception. You will also be taking photographs before the ceremony. In between, there is usually a cocktail hour. And, no matter what, high heels become uncomfortable after an hour of standing on them. The higher the heel, the more the balls of your feet will feel the pressure.
3) Can you dance in your shoes? Although some brides may want to be taller and buy wedding heels that are much higher, they should remember that they will have to do many things in these shoes. The hardest thing will be the first dance. Make sure you can dance and move around in any bridal shoes that you choose.
4) Are the heels the right height for your dress? This is one of the most important things. Regardless of how much you love your shoes, the heel height has to work for the dress. If you haven’t gotten your dress altered, then you are in luck. If you’ve already done a fitting and alteration, then you definitely should make sure that the shoe you choose has the right heel height for your dress. Use the easy tabs on the right to find shoes in the height range that you are looking for.
5) Finally, with your wedding heels, make sure that the color matches the dress correctly, especially if you are looking for shoes in the same color as your dress. If you are choosing a different color such as pink wedding shoes or blue wedding shoes, then don’t worry. However, if you want white wedding shoes to match your white dress, make sure the white of your shoes either matches the dress perfectly or is slightly darker than the white of the dress. If you buy shoes that are lighter in color or a brighter white, they will stand out. This combination will look similar to fluorescent colors against regular colors and your shoes will be the only thing people are looking at as you walk down the aisle.
