For brides whose grooms are not as tall, or for very tall brides, they may want to consider the low heel bridal shoes instead of choosing something with a very high heel.  The low heel will allow them to be comfortable all night long, but also allow for a little height and tapping of the heel as the bride walks down the aisle or dances her first dance.  That slight arch of the feet will look beautiful.

Kitten heels

There are many choices for brides looking for a low heel bridal shoe.  First and foremost, many flat bridal shoes come with a low heel.  The heel can sometimes be a little thicker if they are Mary Jane’s or pumps or bridal sandals.  These flats tend to be ½ inch or less so they are very low heels.  The other option for the bride looking for something slightly higher is a little kitten heel.  This is gorgeous on the feet and has a great silhouette.  The small kitten heel gives the bride much better balance than the 4 inch heels.  Plus, if the bride is looking for a tiny stiletto heel, then the kitten heel is the perfect choice.  Finally, one other choice is a small wedge heel.  This type of heel makes the shoe completely flat.  The bride will not have to worry about wobbling around on the heel.  The shoe will be raised from the back and will be very comfortable to stand on.  For brides who are not used to any heels at all, this could be a great option to add height without adding any instability.

The other way to get the same thing is again by choosing wedding flip flops with a slight heel.  Wedding flip flops will be completely flat, but have that extra height if you choose 1 inch flip flops.  Again, if your dress is long, wearing the flip flop will not matter.  This is a personal choice though since many brides want to match their shoes to their dress and flip flops, while fun, are not always the most beautiful match to the wedding dress.

After speaking to many brides about their wedding shoes, the ones that have felt the most comfortable, but still liked the extra height have been the ones that chose the low heel bridal shoes.  If you are tall, if you want to be comfortable, if you are not used to heels, then consider the 1 inch bridal shoes option.
