Platform wedding shoes
There are two options for comfortable high heel shoes. First, the bride can look for platform wedding shoes. These are shoes with any sort of platform in front. Some of them have a half inch platform and others have a platform that is a full one inch. Because of the platform, a 4 inch heel will feel like a 3 inch heel. This relives some of the pressure from the feet while still giving the bride the added height she is looking for. Many platform shoes also come with a little ankle strap so that the feet don’t fall out of the platforms. The other option is to buy a wedge bridal shoe. The wedge heel shoes that are this high usually have a platform in front to make the shoe more balanced. Again, this allows for more comfort. On top of that, you have a lot more stability with the wedge, especially since the bride will be trying to balance herself in a heavy dress with really high heels.

For the bride that is used to wearing a high heel sandal, she has many choices when looking for heels that are 3 inches or more. Medium heel wedding shoes
Medium heel wedding shoes are usually considered to be 2 inch bridal shoes or 2 and a half inches. These are great for the bride looking to add some height, but not to be too uncomfortable all day. Of course, the heel is a bit higher than low heel shoes so the bride will definitely feel them after awhile, but in general, they will not hurt as much as a higher heel since they are not as high.

There are many different options for the bride looking for 2 inch or 2 and a half inch heels. However, be aware that manufacturers tend to go higher, meaning 3 inches or more, or lower, meaning 1 inch or 1 and a half inch so the 2 inch heel is sometimes harder to find. Many of the more comfortable shoe brands such as Naturalizer, Easy Spirit, or Aerosoles tend to make the 2 inch heels since their shoes are for women looking for comfort. Medium heel bridal shoes
Another option to look for in 2 inch bridal shoes is the mule. This is an open-toe or closed toe shoe with a little heel in the back. The closed toe mules are oftentimes pointed and the front is beautifully decorated. The open toes usually have thin straps. The heel in the back is either a more solid square heel or sometimes you will find the little stiletto heel that makes the shoe even fancier and more feminine. Whatever style you choose, this option is great since it is easy to slide on under the dress and also allows for fairly good balance.
Wedge bridal shoes
The wedge heel is also sometimes a good option in this height. The 2 inches is still pretty high, but on a wedge, it doesn’t look too bad or too noticeable, unlike a higher wedge where you can definitely see the entire wedge on the bottom. Many fantastic sandals come with the wedge heel. This heel also allows for better balance. In the 2 inch heel height, the wedge bridal shoes usually does not have a platform in front.
Finally, the bride can look for just simple heels either pumps or strappy shoes. There are less options out there, but if you search, you will find something you like. There are actually more pumps in this heel height than there are bridal sandals, but the summertime will offer more styles and choices.
