First, remember that designer wedding shoes will cost you a bit more than regular bridal shoes.  While regular shoes may run between $50 to $150, designer shoes may cost between $250 to almost $1000.  Some women have been known to pay even more than that.  Depending on what you love and more importantly, what your budget is, figure out how much you are able to spend before going to look for a pair of designer shoes.  You may want to splurge since this is your wedding day, but remember that there are a lot of different costs to a wedding that you may not know of now.  The plus side is that designer shoes are usually more comfortable, long-lasting and better quality than regular shoes.  If you go to the store and compare, you will see that these heels are much prettier and fancier than regular heels.  If this is what you are looking for, then go for it.

Next, start your scouting.  You may have to scout across several months in order to find ivory wedding shoes in different seasons.  The Spring and Summer months will be more popular.   The staple designers that make ivory wedding shoes will be Vera Wang, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman.  Other designers occasionally have ivory shoes such as Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik.  Sometimes, the shoes will come in that color, but they won’t be on display and you will have to call a salesman.  Sometimes, you will have to order them months ahead of time since there is only a limited quantity and only a few stores carry them.  Therefore, be prepared to take time to shop since the designer ones will not be as easy to find.

Most of these will only be found in limited quantities.  You may also have to settle for a lesser known name compared to the ones you are familiar with.  Not all high end stores will carry shoes in this color, specifically for weddings so you should also call around and ask.  I’ve never seen them in Prada, Ferragamo, or Chanel, but I haven’t been in awhile.  Regardless, I have seen some gorgeous ones for those that are patient and have their minds set on finding a pair of ivory wedding shoes.

First up are these Martina satin peep toes. It’s a classic shoe with a cinched bow in front. It’s made of silk/satin so it kind of shimmers a little. These ivory shoes are perfect for the bride looking for something classic. The heel is a great height too at 3 and a half inches. I would pair these shoes with any A-line or sheath dress.

J. Crew Ivory Wedding Shoes

Next are these pale gold wedding shoes. They are called the Jillian strappy high-heel sandals. They are 3 inches high and really strappy. The straps run along the sides and make a decoration in front. They also come in a silver color too. I like the gold shoes for ivory dresses and the silver for more white dresses. There is also an adjustable ankle strap for those that have in between size feet and need to make the shoe a little tighter. Finally, the best part about these? You can wear them before or after your wedding since the gold will match with lots of summer dresses and skirts.

The last shoe is just so cute. There are these big crystal rhinestones that decorate the strap in front. If you like a little bling on your outfit, definitely check these out. There’s a simple ankle strap that will help to keep the shoe on. It’s a 3 and a half inch shoe so again it will give you some height. All of these shoes are between $150 – $250. While pricier, they will definitely last you a long time. I’ve had some of my J. Crew shoes for more than 3 years and I’ve worn them a lot! Then, come back and tell me what you think!  Personally, I would choose 3 out of the 10 trends to go for, although I could see why some of these other trends are pretty fantastic.  I’ve actually been to a few weddings where I saw some of these trends on the brides.  Now, after knowing the trends, I go to weddings and actually look at a bride’s wedding shoes to see what she’s chosen.  I also make sure that I check out her shoes during the First Dance versus the reception just to make sure.

Platform wedding shoes

There are two options for comfortable high heel shoes.  First, the bride can look for platform wedding shoes.  These are shoes with any sort of platform in front.  Some of them have a half inch platform and others have a platform that is a full one inch.  Because of the platform, a 4 inch heel will feel like a 3 inch heel.  This relives some of the pressure from the feet while still giving the bride the added height she is looking for.  Many platform shoes also come with a little ankle strap so that the feet don’t fall out of the platforms.  The other option is to buy a wedge bridal shoe.  The wedge heel shoes that are this high usually have a platform in front to make the shoe more balanced.  Again, this allows for more comfort.  On top of that, you have a lot more stability with the wedge, especially since the bride will be trying to balance herself in a heavy dress with really high heels.

Jimmy Choo high heel bridal shoes

For the bride that is used to wearing a high heel sandal, she has many choices when looking for heels that are 3 inches or more.  From pumps to t-straps to strappy sandals to bridal shoes decorated with lots of rhinestones, the bride can find almost everything she wants in almost every color.  Many designer wedding shoes are 3 inches or higher since stilettos oftentimes look better in that heel height.  From Manolo Blahnik to Jimmy Choo to Vera Wang, brides will find a wide variety of designer shoes.  Many of the popular stores such as Nine West and Charles David or department stores such as Nordstrom’s or Macy’s also carry plenty of shoes to choose from.

For the high heel bridal shoe, there are plenty of options.  Just don’t forget that you may be uncomfortable after awhile so make sure to buy wedding flip flops or something to change into when your feet start to hurt.

There are many different options for the bride looking for 2 inch or 2 and a half inch heels.  However, be aware that manufacturers tend to go higher, meaning 3 inches or more, or lower, meaning 1 inch or 1 and a half inch so the 2 inch heel is sometimes harder to find.  Many of the more comfortable shoe brands such as Naturalizer, Easy Spirit, or Aerosoles tend to make the 2 inch heels since their shoes are for women looking for comfort.  Sometimes, you will find some fantastic shoes in these stores.  Be sure to check during the summer when they have more sandals out or check their evening shoes area.  Otherwise, you will only find very basic pumps and then regular shoes.

Medium heel bridal shoes

Another option to look for in 2 inch bridal shoes is the mule.  This is an open-toe or closed toe shoe with a little heel in the back.  The closed toe mules are oftentimes pointed and the front is beautifully decorated.  The open toes usually have thin straps.  The heel in the back is either a more solid square heel or sometimes you will find the little stiletto heel that makes the shoe even fancier and more feminine.  Whatever style you choose, this option is great since it is easy to slide on under the dress and also allows for fairly good balance.

Wedge bridal shoes

The wedge heel is also sometimes a good option in this height.  The 2 inches is still pretty high, but on a wedge, it doesn’t look too bad or too noticeable, unlike a higher wedge where you can definitely see the entire wedge on the bottom.  Many fantastic sandals come with the wedge heel.  This heel also allows for better balance.  In the 2 inch heel height, the wedge bridal shoes usually does not have a platform in front.

Finally, the bride can look for just simple heels either pumps or strappy shoes. There are less options out there, but if you search, you will find something you like.   There are actually more pumps in this heel height than there are bridal sandals, but the summertime will offer more styles and choices.
