You’ve chosen blue wedding shoes for your wedding, but now your bigger problem is what shade of blue? That is a dilemma that many brides have written in to ask us. So, here is something that will help you break down whether or not you select navy blue wedding shoes, light blue wedding shoes, royal blue, or tiffany blue.
Heel Height: 4 1/2" Color: Fuschia, red, blue Style notes: These platform heels are perfect for the bride looking for a little extra height with a cute shoe.
Heel Height: 4 1/2" Color: Blue Style notes: The fabulous designer blue shoes are thoroughly embellished with glamorous rhinestones over the top. The perfect princess look!
Heel Height: 4 1/2" Color: Ivory, white, blue Style notes: Stylish and elegant, this gorgeous shoe has a gathered front that ends with a rhinestone jeweled brooch on the side.
Navy is a great color if you’ve chosen an ivory wedding dress. Somehow, the contrast between the ivory and navy works really well. The brighter colors such as royal or tiffany blue don’t work as well against the ivory. This is because the ivory dress has a little bit of yellow in it. Therefore, if you’ve chosen ivory, go with navy. Navy also goes really well with white dresses so don’t worry if you haven’t chosen an ivory dress. Finally, if your colors include black, consider navy which is the closest thing to black while still keeping the blue color of your shoes.
Light Blue Wedding Shoes
Light blue goes really well with a white wedding dress. It is very complimentary and actually the light shade is really close to white. Therefore, you will usually only see a hint of blue in this color. If you’ve chosen pastel colors for your wedding such as pink or light green, then consider choosing this pastel color for your shoes. Or, if you don’t want to be too bold, but still want to change up your look, go for this shade.
Royal Blue Wedding Shoes
This was the color favored by Sarah Jessica Parker on the recent Sex and the City movie and this color is fantastic. It is a deep color reminiscent of royalty. Plenty of brides have been choosing it because it is vibrant and elegant. This color goes best with a white wedding dress, although ivory may work, depending on how deep the shade of ivory is. For those who want to make a definite bold statement, consider royal blue shoes.
Tiffany Blue Wedding Shoes
The final color to think about is tiffany blue. This is the same color as the tiffany boxes you see from the stores. This color is as close to turquoise as you can get. It’s a beautiful color that matches well with white. Even the Tiffany store uses a blue box with a white ribbon. This is the quintessential wedding color and it is simply fabulous. Choose this color if you are wearing a white, not an ivory dress.
All the shades of blue are fantastic depending on what you are looking for. There are plenty of blue shoes to choose above for every girl.
Are you looking for designer ivory wedding shoes? Do you even know if these exist? Do designers make shoes in the color ivory? Well, you are in luck. These days, many more designers have gotten into the business of making wedding shoes. This is why, you will probably find a few options if you are looking for ivory wedding shoes that are made by a more famous designer.

First, remember that designer wedding shoes will cost you a bit more than regular bridal shoes. While regular shoes may run between $50 to $150, designer shoes may cost between $250 to almost $1000. Some women have been known to pay even more than that. Depending on what you love and more importantly, what your budget is, figure out how much you are able to spend before going to look for a pair of designer shoes. You may want to splurge since this is your wedding day, but remember that there are a lot of different costs to a wedding that you may not know of now. The plus side is that designer shoes are usually more comfortable, long-lasting and better quality than regular shoes. If you go to the store and compare, you will see that these heels are much prettier and fancier than regular heels. If this is what you are looking for, then go for it.
Next, start your scouting. You may have to scout across several months in order to find ivory wedding shoes in different seasons. The Spring and Summer months will be more popular. The staple designers that make ivory wedding shoes will be Vera Wang, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman. Other designers occasionally have ivory shoes such as Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik. Sometimes, the shoes will come in that color, but they won’t be on display and you will have to call a salesman. Sometimes, you will have to order them months ahead of time since there is only a limited quantity and only a few stores carry them. Therefore, be prepared to take time to shop since the designer ones will not be as easy to find.
Most of these will only be found in limited quantities. You may also have to settle for a lesser known name compared to the ones you are familiar with. Not all high end stores will carry shoes in this color, specifically for weddings so you should also call around and ask. I’ve never seen them in Prada, Ferragamo, or Chanel, but I haven’t been in awhile. Regardless, I have seen some gorgeous ones for those that are patient and have their minds set on finding a pair of ivory wedding shoes.
For all of you brides out there that have not heard about this, J. Crew has a fantastic wedding shop with some great J. Crew wedding shoes! First up are these Martina satin peep toes. It’s a classic shoe with a cinched bow in front. It’s made of silk/satin so it kind of shimmers a little. These ivory shoes are perfect for the bride looking for something classic. The heel is a great height too at 3 and a half inches. I would pair these shoes with any A-line or sheath dress.
J. Crew Ivory Wedding Shoes
Next are these pale gold wedding shoes. They are called the Jillian strappy high-heel sandals. They are 3 inches high and really strappy. The straps run along the sides and make a decoration in front. They also come in a silver color too. I like the gold shoes for ivory dresses and the silver for more white dresses. There is also an adjustable ankle strap for those that have in between size feet and need to make the shoe a little tighter. Finally, the best part about these? You can wear them before or after your wedding since the gold will match with lots of summer dresses and skirts.
J. Crew Gold Wedding Shoes
The last shoe is just so cute. There are these big crystal rhinestones that decorate the strap in front. If you like a little bling on your outfit, definitely check these out. There’s a simple ankle strap that will help to keep the shoe on. It’s a 3 and a half inch shoe so again it will give you some height. I just love how the shoes are so simple and yet so delicate because of the crystal rhinestones. Check them out below. They are called the Halsey crystal strappy sandals for those who are looking to buy them.
J. Crew Gold Wedding Shoes with rhinestones
All of these shoes are between $150 – $250. While pricier, they will definitely last you a long time. I’ve had some of my J. Crew shoes for more than 3 years and I’ve worn them a lot! Plus, they are reasonably comfortable so you won’t feel like throwing them out after awhile. While you’re looking at the shoes, you mine as well check out the other bridal items they have too.
